Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs) are permanent structural devices that are designed, constructed, and maintained to remove pollutants from stormwater runoff before the water reaches our streams, drinking water supply reservoirs and run-off control. Some examples of SCMs include wet ponds, bioretention cells, infiltration systems, stormwater wetlands, permeable pavement, and sand filters.
SCMs should be maintained regularly and inspected on a yearly basis to ensure the system is functioning correctly. The Town of Stallings requires that all SCMs be inspected once a year. Inspection checklists or questions regarding SCMs can be submitted to June Rappe at JRappe@Stallingsnc.org
