Police Department Employment Opportunities
The Town of Stallings, NC, known as The Gateway to Union County, population size 15,450, is seeking qualified applicants for police officer positions. Applicants must have the following:
A valid N.C. driver’s license
High school diploma or GED
N.C. Basic Law Enforcement Training certification
Successful applicants must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and psychological testing. Starting salary is dependent upon experience. (see below)
Duties include but are not limited to: enforcement of all criminal and traffic laws of the State of North Carolina and the ordinances of the Town of Stallings, investigation of suspicious or unusual incidents occurring during his/her tour of duty and conducts preliminary investigations of all actual crimes which he/she discovers or is assigned to investigate; and makes arrests for felony or misdemeanor offenses in accordance with Town Ordinances and State Statutes.

Starting Salary (no experience) $41,279 – up to a 5% increase after successful completion of the Town's probationary period.
Starting Salary (with experience) $41,279 plus ½% for each year of experience – up to a 5% increase after successful completion of the Town's probationary period.
